Da Vinci (Guerrini Superior 2) Professional Accordion

Dear Accordion Friends,

This Da Vinci accordion is a genuine Guerrini instrument made in Italy for Milton Mann. (See a letter from Remo Guerrini below the pictures.) This is the top of the line model (equivalent to the Guerrini Superior 2) featuring 4/5 sets of reeds and a double tone chamber. The original owner replaced the piccolo reeds with a third set of clarinet reeds. Now the reed configuration is LMMM with both concert and musette sounds. This beautiful accordion was made in the 1980's - a great decade for the Guerrini company. After the merger with Sonola, Guerrini enjoyed almost a complete dominance in the Balkans and received recognition in the US. This particular accordion has been serviced at the Accordion Gallery and is in very good condition. It is offered with a full year warranty.
The Tone Modulator can be removed very easy - see the pictures below. If you like to play jazz and prefer deep warm bassoon and clarinet sounds I suggest you play the accordion with the Tone Modulator Closed. For French and Italian songs it is better to open the modulator. For Balkan music I suggest you remove the modulator (takes less than 5 minutes) and use the classic chambered powerful tone of the instrument on the Bassoon, Accordion, Bandonion, Violin, and Clarinet switches.
The accordion is very clean. It shows only minor wear from regular playing. Several key tops have surface hairline cracks, mostly in the middle G-D area. I have shown close-up photographs. The performer can't feel these imperfections since the key tops remain smooth to the touch. The bellows tape has some wear on top and bottom sides from friction with the metal mesh bellows straps. There are some small dents on the grill. These are all only cosmetic issues and do not affect the performance of the accordion. This is a top notch professional accordion with great compression, smooth mechanical action, and rich powerful tone. It is ready for professional use on stage or in a recording studio. I am pleased to offer the new owner a full year comprehensive warranty serviced at the Accordion Gallery.
