ALPENECHO Alpine
Musette Amplified Accordion
Helikon Bass and
Limex Stereo Amplification
SOUND DEMO
I
don't get many of these piano accordions with truly deep Helikon
bass. This is a beautiful, almost like new, alpine style accordion
made by Polverini with hand-made reeds, oversized Helikon bass reeds
going down to low E(!), and stereo Limex amplification. The
accordion sounds fabulous acoustically, but the amplification really
enhances the effect of the lower octave bass reeds. The accordion
has the classic Alpine wood finish with shiny chromed metal grill
and deep bellows folds to provide the proper efficiency for the reed
configuration. It is musette tuned, just as you would expect for
this model. The red accents from the grill cloth, bellows folds
lining, and the straps contribute to the visual appeal of the
instrument.
Here is a summary of the features:
- Made in Italy
- Excellent Hand Made Reeds
- 4 sets of treble reeds - LM1M2(+)M3(-)
- "Alpine" musette tuning (the
musette sound of the Hohner Morino V M)
- 41 full-size keys F-A
keyboard - pearl key tops with smooth edges - a delight to
play
- 9 treble switches: Bassoon (L), Bandoneon (LM1), Accordion
(LM1M2), Sax (LM2), Master (LMMM), Violin (M1M2), Musette (MMM),
Celeste (M1M3), and Clarinet (M1). The M2 reeds are tuned sharp and
the M3 reeds are tuned flat. This way you can get a variety of
musette sounds.
- Oversized Helikon bass reeds with
low-E configuration
- 120 pearl bass buttons, each one is surrounded by felt for very
smooth and silent action
- Custom made deep-fold bellows.
- Red velvet padded bellows protector
- Excellent comfortable red velvet shoulder straps with Alpine
pattern
- Well balanced light weight accordion - 25 lb
- Limex Professional stereo
amplification with 10 treble and 3 bass microphones; new original
cable included - tested and produces a very impressive amplified
sound
- Your choice of a very good solid case or new gig-bag (soft case)
Below is a link to sound samples of
the accordion (MP3 file). The first 6 minutes present an overview of
the sounds. For the remaining part I played for fun in front of my
desktop PC. Using headphones will help appreciate better the tonal
quality of the accordion.
This accordion has
been designed and built for the performing entertainer. You will
love its visual appeal, smooth mechanics, and live and rich tone.
The acoustic accordion is offered with a full year warranty serviced
at the Accordion Gallery in Flemington, NJ. Local
US support is extremely important. Overseas shipping is expensive
and risky and turn around times are long. Call 973-219-9259
with any questions or for a phone demo.

The back
side of the bass body has a cut-out (the lighter colored wood in the
picture below) for more comfortable access to the bass buttons.

The above
picture shows the 3 bass microphones. The picture below gives a
suggestion for looping the amplification cable around the bass strap for
a more secure connection. You can move freely on stage without worrying
about accidentally disconnecting the cable or having static noise due to
movements at the connector.

Limex uses
a combined cable for their MIDI and amplification electronics. This
accordion has only amplification. You will use the gray (treble) and
black (bass) jacks. The true stereo setup allows you to apply independed
frequecy equalization to treble and bass sounds keeping the brightness
of the treble side while enhancing the depth of the Helikon bass.

The cable
is new. It was removed from the plastic bag just to test the
amplification. The low E bass sounds truly fabulous amplified.
