FISMEN ALPINE
Musette Accordion
Helikon Bass -
Palisander Wood Finish
SOUND DEMO
I
don't get many of these piano accordions with truly deep Helikon
bass. This is a beautiful, new, alpine style accordion made by
FISMEN with Indian Palisander wood finish with inlays, Voci
Armoniche reeds, and oversized Helikon bass reeds going down to low
G#. The accordion sounds fabulous. It has the classic Alpine wood
finish with shiny chromed metal grill and 19-fold bellows to provide
the proper efficiency for the reed configuration. It is musette
tuned, just as you would expect for this model.
Here is a summary of the features:
- New accordion, Made in Italy, received in November 2025
- Voci Armoniche Hand Finished Reeds
- 4 sets of treble reeds - LM1M2(+)M3(-)
- "Alpine" musette tuning (the
musette sound of the Hohner Morino V M)
- 38 keys E-F keyboard -
pearl key tops with smooth edges - a delight to play
- 10 treble switches: Mute (Closes all treble reeds, useful in case
you install MIDI), Bassoon (L), Bandoneon (LM1), Accordion (LM1M2),
Concert (LM2M3), Master (LMMM), Musette (MMM), Vibrato (M2M3),
Violin (M1M2), and Clarinet (M1). The M2 reeds are tuned sharp and
the M3 reeds are tuned flat. This way you can get a variety of
musette sounds.

- Oversized Helikon bass reeds with
low-G# configuration
- 96 pearl bass buttons, each one is surrounded by felt for very
smooth and silent action
- 5 bass switches including Acoustic Mute
- Helicon Bass shift (located next to the air valve button)
- Custom made 19-fold bellows.
- Leather/Velvet bellows protector
- Excellent 3" wide leather/velvet shoulder straps
- Well balanced light weight accordion - 24 lb
- FISMEN case with wheels and internal padding - the best luxury
case you can buy today

the accordion (MP3 file). I recorded in front of my desktop PC.
Using headphones will help appreciate better the tonal quality of
the accordion.
This accordion has
been designed and built for the performing entertainer. You will
love its visual appeal, smooth mechanics, and live and rich tone.
The accordion is offered with two years warranty serviced at
the Accordion Gallery in Flemington, NJ. Local
US support is extremely important. Overseas shipping is expensive
and risky and turn around times are long. Call 973-219-9259
with any questions or to schedule your visit.

The back
side of the bass body has a cut-out (the darker colored wood in the
picture below) for more comfortable access to the bass buttons.

The
photograph below shows the Helikon bass shift, located next to the air
valve button. Sliding the shift back toward the bass strap decouples the
bass and chord valves. As a result only the large Helikon and Bass reeds
are played in the bass and counter-bass rows and the Tenor and Alto
reeds are played in the chord buttons. When you slide the switch forward
you have standard Stradella bass mechanics with coupled valves.Pressing
a bass or counter-bass button lifts both bass and chord valves, while
pressing a chord button opens only the chord valves. The Valve
decoupling shift affects only the sound in the bass and counter-bass
rows and keeps the chords unchanged. Sliding the switch back enhances
the effect of the Helikon reeds. Shifting it forward adds the higher
octave reeds while retaining the tonal depth. Using the bass switches
you can enable or disable the Helikon reeds. The sound demo should be
very helpful along with this explanation.

The
accordion comes with a luxury 2-tone leather case with internal padding
and cover for keyboard protection.
The case has reinforced corners, wheels,
and a side handle for rolling it on smooth surfaces.
