Ottavianelli Artist Walnut Accordion

This custom-made top of the line Ottavianelli accordion was made from aged walnut root. It features hand made reeds, double tone chamber, and stereo Sennheiser microphones. This instrument will offer you a variety of sounds with 4 sets of treble reeds and 5 sets of bass reeds. The reed configuration is LMMM. You have LM with concert tuning and 2 additional sets of clarinet reeds (M2 and M3) with swing and musette tuning allowing for concert (dry) sounds like bassoon, clarinet, bandoneon, as well as authentic sounds for Balkan music, Swing musette, traditional Italian musette, and polka sounds when adding M2 and M3.

The accordion is tuned to 440 Hz with M2 set at +10 cents and M3 at -6 cents.

13 treble switches: (see the pictures below for names and corresponding reed configuration). You can select from concert (dry tuned), swing (6c or 10c), or musette (16c) treble sounds. Please, listen to the sound samples. The last switch closes all treble reeds (useful option if MIDI is installed).

The accordion looks fabulous. The reeds are very efficient and carefully voiced for optimal dynamic range. You can play many music styles with authentic sound.

The accordion has 3 microphones mounted under the grill, one behind the tone chamber, and one in the bass compartment. The pick-up is Stereo 1/4 jack. The potentiometer on the upper side (right on the picture below) controls the treble side volume. The two potentiometers on the lower side of the grill (left side of the picture below) control bass side Volume and Tone (Depth/Brightness balance).

The microphones are powered by 9V battery mounted in the bass compartment (left side in the picture below).
