This is a very
well made professional accordion backed by the reputation of Scandalli
and recently serviced at the Accordion Gallery. This instrument
combines excellent acoustic tonal quality with top of the line
electronics and is suitable for any type of repertoire. The
electronic features have been tested and work fine. The
acoustic accordion is covered by a full year warranty serviced
at the Accordion Gallery in Flemington, NJ.
Below
is a link to a shared MP3 file with sound
samples of
this instrument. I suggest you listen with headphones. The first
8 minutes presents an overview of all treble and bass switches with
brief sound samples. For the remaining duration of the sound demo I
played various style of music for fun and recorded from my desktop PC.

Please, reed the comments in the
pictures area below for more technical details. The accordion
has been serviced at the Accordion Gallery and looks, feels, and
sounds great. The new owner will enjoy a well built instrument
with smooth mechanics and beautiful tone. The MIDI will open a
whole new world for orchestration and musical expression. The
microphones can be used independent of the MIDI.
You can play this accordion as acoustic instrument without any
electronics. With any amplifier you can get the benefit of full
orchestration using the built-in sound card and microphones. In case
you wish to use an additional external MIDI module all you need to
do is connect it to the MIDI OUT port of the power supply.
Call 973-219-9259 with any questions.

The small
black box attached to the bass side of the accordion (lower left side in
the pictures) is the battery compartment. Originally the battery was
mounted inside the bass machine section. However, due to the compact
design of the instrument and the MIDI components it was difficult to
gain access and replace the battery. This was the reason the original
owner had this battery compartment mounted on the outside. My first
thought when I bought the accordion was to move the battery back inside.
After careful consideration I decided it is more practical and safer
where it is now. Scroll further down for pictures of the bass machine
compartment to appreciate the new position of the battery.

A tiny
piece of the bellows frame molding is missing at the lower back bass
side - see close up view below.
The area is smooth to the touch
and doesn't affect performance or feel.

The
MusicTech DIGISOUND module serves as a power supply and tone generator.
The sound card is inside this box.
The programmed presets are stored on the
grill MIDI controller.
The optional wireless
MIDI receiver looks identical to the Digisound module.
The wireless transmitter
is a belt power pack with the size of a cigarette pack.
The rechargeable battery
for the transmitter is new. The charger is included.
If you would like to
purchase the wireless MIDI setup, please add $800 to the listed price.
You can also purchase it separately.
You will receive the
power cord, 1/4" jack audio cable (not in the picture below), MIDI data
cable
(connects the accordion
to the DIGISOUND module), a volume pedal, the manual, and an accessories
bag.
Please, note that you can
control the volume with the bellows pressure (bellows dynamics option)
and the volume pedal is optional.

Let's take
a look inside this beautiful instrument...

The small
black box mounted on the reed blocks is the bellows pressure sensor.
It allows you to control the volume of
the electronic sounds with bellows pressure, the same way you play the
acoustic reeds.

The bass
side...

The
pictures below show the interior of the bass machine compartment. The
battery was originally mounted next to the microphone in the lower side
of the compartment (upper left corner in the picture below). In order to
avoid damage to the MIDI contact in that area while replacing the
battery, the original owner mounted an external battery compartment to
the bass side below the bass switches.
