Scandalli Super VI Accordion - 1950's Model

Dear Accordion Friends,

I like to present a very special, 1950s Scandalli Super VI. The accordion is light weight, ergonomic, air-tight, and efficient, with fabulous mechanics throughout. The instrument has been serviced by the previous owner and is ready for a new home.

Below is a summary of the specifications. Please, see the pictures for more details and important comments.

There are many special details about the making and performance of this accordion that have never been implemented on any other model after 1970. The pictures will tell the story. This accordion is spectacular and whatever I tell you to describe its feel and sound will be an understatement. You've got to play it!

Below you can see the interior design and admire the craftsmanship of the 1950s Italian masters.

The accordion body is made of solid mahogany. The naturally aged wood has matured even more over the 70 years this instrument has been loved and played.

Below you can see the bass side interior. I would like to mention two important features found
in the 1950-50s Scandalli Super VI, Settimio Soprani Artist VI, and Titano Royal accordions.

1. The spring-loaded support for the bass reed blocks allows for a uniform pressure distribution across the reed blocks, prevents warping, and allows for fine tuning adjustment as humidity and temperatures could affect the pitch of the reeds.

2. The Contralto/Alto and Tenor reed blocks share a common base plate resulting in enhanced resonance and more stable pitch.
