BELL Super Star (Borsini) MIDI Amplified Accordion
This
professional BELL accordion is a rare model, built by Borsini for
Aldo Mencaccini, the founder and owner of BELL Accordions till 2006.
This unique instrument was built to the highest quality standard of
Borsini's Super Star models. This BELL was ergonomically optimized
with a very slim body design, 3/4 sets of reeds, and light weight of
22 lb. The bassoon and clarinet reeds a tone chamber with a second
set of clarinet reeds out of the chamber like in the Sonola SS6
model. This way we have the perfect instrument for a jazz
accordionist who would love the added versatility of Italian musette
sounds. The accordion is very efficient and has full rich tone. The
depth of the bass reeds is truly impressive.
Here

Let's
explore the interior of this beautiful instrument...

State of
the art electromagnetic MIDI sensors; excellent quality treble valves

microphones are powered by a 9V battery mounted in the bass compartment.
The two pictures below show how easy it
is to replace the battery (new as of December 29, 2025).

The bass
machine components are anodized and corrosion-resistant.The two bass
microphones are mounted on the stop-rail for the chord buttons.

The MIDI
sensors are mounted in such a way to avoid interference with the bass
mechanics.
As a bonus, this architecture allows for
proper securing the bass machine for shipping.

Borsini
accordions are made with internal bellows gaskets.

Professional
hand-made reeds, some of the reed plates are engraved with "Borsini" and
