FUTURAMA Symphony Stereo Model Accordion
FUTURAMA Accordion Sound
Demo
It is a pleasure to
find one these accordions from the 1960's in such a good condition.
The accordion has very ergonomic body design. The depth across the bellows
is the optimal size for a 3-reed instrument. It has a full-size 19.25"
long, professional keyboard and weighs 20 lb. It has been made with the
same attention to detail and to the same quality standards as the
full size 4/5 tone chamber Symphony model. All internal metal parts
are anodized to prevent rust. The tone modulator is very efficient and
gives warmth to the tone when closed.

The
rest of the story in pictures...
You can
see the 3 treble microphones mounted under the grill. They amplify the
effect of the tone modulator.
The bass
microphones are mounted in the bass compartment.
I serviced the keyboard in December
2025. After I recorded the demo I decided I could improve the action.
Now the keyboard feels like new.
Below you
see the Tone Modulator Open.
Tone
Modulator Closed.
The
interior is clean. You can see the aged mahogany body with internal
bellows gaskets.
The
original reed leathers are excellent. The reeds are clean and
responsive.
The next
photograph shows a close view of the bassoon reeds.
Next,
let's take a look at the bass reed blocks and reeds...
