Guerrini Superior 2 Model
One of the BEST Acoustic Accordions

Dear Accordion Friends,

There are many nice instruments that can keep us satisfied and inspired. However, once you come across an exceptional quality accordion you know it from the first chord you play! We all deserve to find our ultimate accordion, the accordion we will never part with. Fortunately, we have different preferences and this makes the accordion world as exciting and colorful it is. I know how great it feels to be able to hear that dream sound each time you play. I am sure someone will soon feel the same way about the accordion I am presenting to you now.

This Guerrini Superior 2 accordion was built in Italy in the early 1980's. The instrument was serviced at the Accordion Gallery in March-April 2020. It is clean, well voiced and tuned and features flawless mechanics and excellent compression. The rich and robust Guerrini tone is truly memorable and once you've experienced it you remain attracted to it.

The second set of middle reeds that are out of the chamber is accessible through the "Sopran" switch. If you happen to like Balkan music you know this switch is a must-have. The Bandoneon features the double-chambered LM1 warmer sound. The Sax switch combines the chambered bassoon reeds with the out-of-chamber M2 ("sopran") reeds for a brighter tone.

You can hear a sound demo of the accordion at the link below (shared Dropbox file). Please, listen with headphones for full appreciation of the tonal quality and richness of the instrument.

These Guerrini models are difficult to find. Professional musicians in Europe love them for their reliable performance, durability, and tonal quality and power. This particular instrument looks great with clean and shiny body, excellent mechanics, and a sound to remember. There are two minor cosmetic issues that I will show in close-up photographs below. A few keys top in the middle of the keyboard had small rough spots from fingernail marks (now buffed and barely visible). On the upper bass side very close to the bass strap there is a small nick in the celluloid (see pictures below). The accordion is offered with a full year warranty serviced at the Accordion Gallery in Landing, NJ.

The A2, C2, D2, and E2 key tops in the middle of the keyboard had some fingernail marks. I buffed the keys and
now it is almost impossible to see the imperfections (see the close-up view above as well as all other pictures).

I took many photographs at different angles and light settings to show the tiny remaining marks (see the picture below).
Compare the pictures above and below and look at middle D (between the Organ and Musette switches.
Even from a very close distance it is very difficult to see the remaining slight indentation after the buffing (photo above).

The next two pictures are taken to show the small nick in the celluloid very close to the bass strap.
This is only a cosmetic issue and doesn't affect structural integrity or performance of the accordion.

The keyboard was serviced in April of 2020. You will love the action.

All reeds are hand-made, masterfully voiced, and will reward you with instant response and rich full tone.

Lowest octave Bass reeds are mounted on a chambered reed blocks for faster response and enhanced tonal depth.
