There are many nice instruments that can keep us satisfied and inspired. However, once you come across an exceptional quality accordion you know it from the first chord you play! We all deserve to find our ultimate accordion, the accordion we will never part with. Fortunately, we have different preferences and this makes the accordion world as exciting and colorful it is.

This is a very special Karpek accordion built by Alberto Morbidoni. If you have followed my web site you already know I like Morbidoni accordions. They may have different brands like Lo Duca, La Prima, Tonaveri, Diamond, or Morbidoni but they are all fabulous instruments. All these professional tone chamber accordions have aged mahogany body, walnut keyboard with Lucite key tops, some of the best hand-made reeds, and spectacular tonal depth and spectral/harmonic richness.

The accordion has recently been serviced and is ready for a new home.

Full size professional accordion
19-1/4 " long keyboard, the keys are made of walnut and have Lucite key tops with smooth edges. The Lucite is scratch free and does not turn yellow in time.

4 treble sets of reeds - LM1M2H with concert tuning - sound demo provided
Double Tone Chamber (LM1)
11 treble switches: Bassoon (L), Clarinet (M1), Piccolo (H), Organ (LH), Violin (M1M2), Master (LM1M2), Celeste (M1M2H), Bandonion (LM1), Celo (M₂H), Oboe (M₁H), and Melodion (LM₁H). Please, note that the central switch is labeled "Master" but it corresponds to the "Accordion" reed combination LMM. Therefore, there are 12 different treble sounds. Having both M1H and M2H is rare and much appreciated by Balkan musicians. The "Melodion" is usually labeled "Harmonium" on most of the accordions.

The accordion is nice and clean with shiny chrome plating throughout. The interior is immaculate. The the original hand made reeds are in excellent condition with the wax and leathers holding phenomenally well. The pictures below will tell the rest of the story.
