Sonola SS20 SOUND SAMPLES (headphones recommended)
There are many nice instruments that can keep us satisfied and inspired. However, once you come across an exceptional quality accordion you know it from the first chord you play! We all deserve to find our ultimate accordion, the accordion we will never part with. Fortunately, we have different preferences and this makes the accordion world as exciting and colorful it is. I know how great it feels to be able to hear that dream sound each time you play. I am sure someone will soon feel the same way about the accordion I am presenting to you now.
I love Sonola accordions in each class. They have consistent high quality, very responsive reeds, robust mechanics, and memorable tone. The SS20 is the flagship model. This instrument is part of the famous Sonola Symphony Hall Series and features oversized tone chamber, body carved of specially selected aged woods, and full size professional keyboard. The tone is mellow yet powerful and rich in overtones. Playing and listening to the sound of this accordion is a treat for the performer and the audience. What makes this particular accordion truly special is the added quint free-bass feature.
The Quint Free-bass system is very intuitive (see the diagram below).
The first two rows (counter-bass and bass) remain the same. The next
two rows (major and minor chords in Stradella system) now play single
notes like the first two rows but one octave above. The fifth and
sixth rows (seventh and diminished chords in Stradella) play single
notes in the same layout as the first two rows but two octave higher.
This way, the performer can use the knowledge about bass and
counter-bass buttons layout and play melody spanning 3 octaves.

Here is a video to demonstrate the
capabilities of this type of free-bass accordion in the right
hands.Enjoy.
