Professional TONAVERI (Morbidoni) Accordion

Dear Accordion Friends,

There are many nice instruments that can keep us satisfied and inspired. However, once you come across an exceptional quality accordion you know it from the first chord you play! We all deserve to find our ultimate accordion, the accordion we will never part with. Fortunately, we have different preferences and this makes the accordion world as exciting and colorful it is.

This is the top of the line Tonaveri Chamber model built by Morbidoni. If you have followed my web site you already know I like Morbidoni accordions. They may have different brands like Lo Duca, La Prima, Tonaveri, Diamond, or Morbidoni but they are all fabulous instruments. All these professional tone chamber accordions have aged mahogany body, walnut keyboard with Lucite key tops, hand-made reeds, and spectacular tonal depth and spectral/harmonic richness. This Tonaveri is fabulous to look, play, and listen to.

This accordion
was built in the 1990's and still looks like new. It has recently been serviced and is ready for a new home.

The accordion looks like new. The compression is excellent. The interior is immaculate. The the original hand made reeds are in excellent condition with the wax and leathers holding phenomenally well. The pictures below will tell the rest of the story. Call us at 973-770-6877 to hear the accordion or to schedule your visit to the Accordion Gallery where you can play side by side the some of the best new and professionally serviced vintage accordions.

The reed configuration corresponding to each treble switch is also shown with dots om the lower side of the switch.
This way it it very convenient to see it as you glance at the keyboard from playing position.
The slide above the switches is used to open and close the tone modulator.

The accordion comes with the best quality new Italian shoulder and bass straps.
The body finish is nice and clean. The bright spots on the picture below are reflections of the shoulder straps.

The original sale price of the Model 1000 was more than $12000.

On the photograph below you can see the tone modulator and treble microphones.
The original treblevalves are in excellent condition.

Below you can see the modern design bass mechanics optimized for silent and smooth action. Each button is
surrounded by felt. The metal-to-metal contact has been eliminated by using plastic tubing over the valve pins. Felt along
the stop rails results in silent stop at the travel of the bass button. The back side of the stop rail is lined with leather to
additionally silence the release of the bass buttons.

The next photograph shows the treble reeds blocks and reeds.
The bass microphone is mounted on the treble blocks facing the bass side.
This large crystalline microphone is known with its good performance in the lower frequency range.

The reeds inside this instrument are spectacular, beautifully voiced and tuned for optimal dynamic range.

Let's take a look inside the bass side of the instrument...

Each internal component of this accordion has been meticulously finished. Even the bellows frame is made of solid maple.

I would comfortably present this instrument side by side with absolutely any new accordion made today.
