Oktoberfest with Alex Meixner Band - Bear Mountain, NY
October 4, 2014October is a very busy month for Alex Meixner and his fellow musicians and a great opportunity for thousands of their friends across the country to enjoy the music and energy of the band. This is the second year I attended the Bear Mountain, NY Oktoberfest show. Alex and the band had the fans involved, dancing, drinking, and enjoying the great performance. Even the rain in the early afternoon didn't scare the people who were willing to have fun. Alex's energy was so powerful even the clouds eventually gave up and cleared the sky.
It was so nice to hear from many people that they were actually following
the band from gig to gig in NY, NJ, and PA. Alex featured some of the songs from his latest CD "Happiness is a Choice" as well as new arrangements. It was such a pleasure to see an accordionist and so many young people at
the same event. Check Alex's performing schedule and make sure you
attend a show. You will feel positively charged for at least a week.

The few short breaks were not long enough for all people to have their CDs signed by the band members
Some folks got got their CDs autographed even during the performance.
This is a real multitasking on stage - Hank takes over the melody part on the accordion
while Alex keeps the rhythms going and signing the CD - so much fun!
Never before had I heard a garden house sound so fine - I guess
the trick is to play really well the trumpet mouth piece and calculate the house length :-)
